Last weekend, several members of our team traveled over 1000 km across Poland to visit the incredible shelter run by DIOZ – the Lower Silesian Inspectorate for Animal Protection. We arrived with gifts: food, toys, and small gifts for the employees who dedicate themselves daily to saving animals.
What we saw there moved us deeply.
DIOZ It's much more than just a shelter. It's one of the most committed animal welfare organizations in Poland, fighting daily for the lives and dignity of animals.
The DIOZ team intervenes in cases of animal abuse, rescuing animals from dire conditions and sometimes even from their abusers—often risking their own safety. In addition to rescue and treatment, DIOZ also provides adoption services, shelters, and educational and legal services.
Their strength lies in their people. The organization operates solely thanks to the support of donors and volunteers—without government subsidies, but with heart and determination.
