Legal requirements – cylinder legalization LPG every 10 years
According to the regulations in force in Poland, each cylinder LPG must be legalized every 10 years. Legalization is a mandatory technical inspection of the tank, which allows you to check its condition and allows it for further use.
Without valid legalization:
❌ you will not pass the vehicle's technical inspection,
❌ you cannot use the gas installation safely,
❌ you may have trouble getting insurance compensation in the event of an accident.
The legalisation test ensures that the cylinder is not damaged, corroded and still meets safety standards.
What is gas cylinder optimization?
Gas cylinder optimization is a broader scope of activities than just legalization. It includes, among others:
• checking the tightness of the entire installation,
• removing sediments and impurities from inside the cylinder,
• calibration of sensors and valves,
• adjusting the working pressure to the working conditions,
• assessment of the technical condition of the installation components.
Why is it worth optimizing your gas cylinder?
1. Security
A leaking or contaminated cylinder can lead to serious faults, gas leaks and even fire.
2. Better performance
A clean and calibrated gas installation means lower fuel consumption and better engine performance.
3. Saving
Thanks to optimization, you avoid costly repairs and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
4. Longer life of the installation
Less deposits and impurities mean less wear on injectors, reducer and valves.
When is it worth optimizing?
• Every few years, regardless of legalization,
• When engine power drops or fuel consumption increases,
• After replacing the main components of the installation,
• After purchasing a used car with installation LPG.
